Chronically Impaired
A 2018 Grim Logick record has been reopened. One verse slot is available. The winning entry receives the official DSP remix release with Grim Logick, pending usable stems, cleared rights, and a completed written remix agreement.
The Record Has Been Reopened
This Is Not A Freestyle Prompt
“Chronically Impaired” was originally released in 2018. For this challenge, Grim Logick removed the original second verse, rebuilt the arrangement, and opened one slot for a new performance.
The beat changes after the first four bars of the open section, leading into a reversal and dropout. The winning artist will not simply fill space. Their verse must understand the record, move with its structure, and sound like it belongs inside the composition.
The Actual Assignment
- Write and perform one original verse for the official open section.
- Preserve the existing song structure and instrumental.
- Submit a full mixed entry showing your intended sound.
- Do not submit vocal stems unless you are selected.
- Do not use cloned, synthetic, or AI-generated lead vocals.
The Winner Is Not Getting a Decorative Repost

Rules and Legal Conditions
Official Challenge Terms
Read these terms before submitting. Entry confirms acceptance of the applicable provisions below. These terms govern the challenge entry process; the selected winner will receive a separate remix agreement before commercial distribution.
Quick Terms Summary
You must submit your own original lyrics and your own human vocal performance. No AI-generated lead vocals, voice clones, stolen lyrics, unauthorized samples, or third-party vocals.
You retain ownership of your submitted verse unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Submission grants limited permission for private review and reasonable challenge-related promotional excerpts.
Submission does not automatically create a release, feature credit, payment, royalty share, publishing share, master ownership, management relationship, label signing, or partnership.
1. Sponsor and Challenge Period
The Chronically Impaired Open Verse Challenge is operated by 3NIGMA BRED MUSIC™, a DBA of Grim Logick LLC, in connection with Grim Logick’s “Chronically Impaired.”

No purchase or payment is required to enter.
2. Eligibility
Entrants must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Entrants must be legally able to grant the permissions described in these terms.
Participation is subject to applicable law and is void where prohibited.
3. How to Enter
Entrants must record an original verse over the official challenge file and submit an accessible full mixed entry through the official submission form.
The official instrumental, existing vocals, and song structure may not be replaced, sampled into another work, or materially altered without written permission.
Stems are not required during initial entry. The selected artist must later provide usable, time-aligned vocal files.
4. Originality, Human Performance, and Rights
By submitting, the entrant confirms that the submitted lyrics and vocal performance are original to the entrant or legally controlled by the entrant.
Entries may not contain stolen lyrics, unauthorized third-party vocals, uncleared samples, infringing material, AI-generated lead vocals, cloned voices, or unauthorized impersonations.
Entrants remain responsible for the accuracy of all rights, ownership, and authorship claims connected to their submission.
5. Submission Ownership and Promotional Permission
The entrant retains ownership of their submitted lyrics and vocal performance unless rights are later granted through a separate written agreement.
By submitting, the entrant grants 3NIGMA BRED MUSIC™, Grim Logick LLC, and Grim Logick a limited, nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to privately review the submission and use reasonable excerpts for challenge promotion, judging, recap content, and winner announcements.
This permission does not authorize an official commercial remix release without a separate written remix agreement.
6. Winner Selection
Entries may be evaluated based on writing, vocal performance, timing, pocket, originality, atmosphere, mix compatibility, rights clarity, release viability, and professionalism.
3NIGMA BRED MUSIC™ reserves the right to select no winner if no submission meets the creative, technical, rights, or release standards required for an official remix.

8. Official Remix Agreement, Credits, and Royalties
The selected artist must provide legal name, artist name, lyrics, vocal stems, contact information, credits, and relevant PRO or identifier information when available.
Commercial release requires a separate written remix agreement addressing master ownership, royalties, publishing or writer shares, credits, distribution permission, promotional permission, approvals, and payment information.
No royalty, revenue share, publishing share, master ownership, or feature credit is created merely by submitting an entry.
Original production credit remains: Produced by Skrilla Beats.
9. Disqualification
Entries may be rejected or disqualified for missing information, inaccessible files, false rights claims, infringement concerns, unauthorized samples or vocals, synthetic or cloned lead vocals, unlawful or hateful material, harassment, spam, technical unusability, or failure to provide required winner materials.
10. Privacy and Administrative Use
Submitted names, email addresses, location information, artist links, and entry materials will be used for challenge administration, judging, winner contact, rights verification, and potential release preparation.
Entrant legal names and private contact details will not be published solely because an entry was submitted.
11. No Employment, Management, or Label Relationship
Participation does not create employment, management, agency, partnership, label signing, exclusive representation, or any other continuing business relationship between the entrant and 3NIGMA BRED MUSIC™, Grim Logick LLC, or Grim Logick.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions People Will Ask Anyway
Do I need a professional studio?
No. Writing, delivery, timing, tone, originality, atmosphere, and release viability matter more than expensive equipment. The recording still needs to be clear enough to judge.
Can I record or submit through BandLab?
Yes. BandLab entries are acceptable for judging. The selected artist must still provide clean vocal stems before an official remix release.
Can I upload the entry privately or unlisted?
Yes. Private, secret, or unlisted links are acceptable as long as the submitted link can be opened without requesting permission and remains available throughout judging.
Can I use AI-assisted writing?
The submitted vocal must be the entrant’s own human performance. The entrant is also responsible for confirming that the submitted lyrics are original and legally controlled. AI-generated lead vocals, cloned voices, or unauthorized impersonations are prohibited.
Does submitting guarantee a remix release?
No. The selected entry proceeds toward official release only after usable stems, cleared rights, accurate credits, professional communication, and a signed remix agreement are confirmed.
What can the independent-work spotlight cover?
One qualifying independent song, EP, album, music video, visual project, or other publicly available artist-controlled work.
What is the metadata and database workup?
It is a structured review of the winning artist’s public identity, credits, links, release information, artist bio, writer and performer details, identifiers, and catalog data. In other words, the boring machinery that keeps music from becoming an anonymous file floating through the internet.
